As cloud adoption scales within organizations, they struggle to enforce policies that control usage and optimize spending in the cloud, especially across development teams, tools, and platforms. 
Cloud cost governance as code provides a way for FinOps teams to automatically and dynamically apply policies, including cost optimization, in fast-changing cloud environments. Code associated with cost policies is created, deployed, and maintained in the same way developers manage application or infrastructure code. Developers can easily understand these policies and don’t have to worry about tracking or managing costs. As violations occur, automated notifications and workflows can be triggered.
Join us in this talk to learn how FinOps can use governance as code to automate and enforce cost policies. We will also use Cloud Custodian, a Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) open source project, to demonstrate the concept in practice.
